Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Loveland, Colorado. As part of this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in supporting the organization's financial operations with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who excel in managing complex accounting processes and thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute month-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded and categorized.
- Prepare and post journal entries while verifying supporting documentation for accuracy.
- Perform account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure financial data integrity.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any variances promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial audits and compliance efforts.
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and support budgeting processes.
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles and company policies in all financial activities.
- Assist in refining and improving accounting procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements
- Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and journal entry preparation.
- Proficiency in performing account and bank reconciliations with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations applicable to the manufacturing industry.
- Advanced skills in financial analysis and the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication abilities to collaborate with teams and present financial findings.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools relevant to the role.
