full-time Staff Accountant Denver, CO CB Partners is partnering with an innovative and growing technology organization to identify an Entry-Level Staff Accountant. This opportunity is ideal for a recent Accounting graduate or early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting and financial operations. The Staff Accountant will support core accounting functions, including financial reporting, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, payroll accounting, and accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced environment while developing technical accounting expertise. Key Responsibilities Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and assist with the completion of closing activities. Review financial information for accuracy and enter accounting transactions into the general ledger. Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records to ensure data integrity. Assist with maintaining fixed asset schedules, tracking asset activity, and recording depreciation. Process and review vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and other payables-related transactions. Participate in payroll accounting activities, including recording payroll expenses and related entries. Monitor financial transactions and research discrepancies, resolving issues in a timely manner. Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal reviews, audits, and tax filings. Assist with budget tracking and financial analysis projects as requested by management. Generate reports and provide accounting data to support business decision-making. Maintain organized financial records and ensure documentation complies with company policies. Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Recent graduates encouraged to apply; prior internship or accounting-related experience is a plus. Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and general ledger accounting. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, spreadsheets, and data analysis functions. Experience with accounting systems, ERP platforms, or financial software preferred.
