Senior Accountant Salary:
$90,000–$100,000 + Bonus Our client, a rapidly growing global organization in the Greater Hartford area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a dynamic, evolving environment where they can make a visible impact. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Straightforward Accounting, Dynamic Environment There is no inventory accounting, cost accounting, or highly technical accounting complexity. Instead, the challenge comes from supporting a business experiencing significant growth, transformation, and change. Purpose-Driven Organization Join a company whose business model contributes positively to environmental sustainability. You'll have the opportunity to work for an organization making a meaningful impact while continuing to grow and innovate. High-Growth Platform Backed by private equity, the company has completed multiple acquisitions and continues to expand aggressively. This growth creates exciting opportunities for exposure, development, and career advancement. Build and Improve Processes Rather than inheriting fully established procedures, you'll have the opportunity to help create, document, and enhance accounting processes, controls, and workflows as the organization continues to scale. High Visibility and Ownership This is not a transactional accounting role. You'll work closely with leadership and play an important role in supporting business decisions, financial reporting, compliance, and operational improvements. Exposure to Systems and Integrations As the organization continues to integrate acquisitions and implement new technologies, you'll help ensure data accuracy, process consistency, and strong internal controls across evolving systems. Supportive Leadership Team The company offers a collaborative culture with approachable leadership that values employee contributions, professional growth, and work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including complex account reconciliations. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, and balance sheet reconciliations. Assist with financial reporting, budgeting activities, and variance analysis. Help develop, document, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Support process improvement initiatives, system implementations, and integration projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Perform additional accounting and finance-related duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Experience performing high-volume and complex account reconciliations. Strong understanding of month-end close processes and general ledger accounting. Experience supporting process improvement and implementing new procedures. Consolidation experience is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. If you're looking for an opportunity where you can contribute beyond the debits and credits, gain visibility with leadership, and help shape a growing organization, we'd like to hear from you. a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } #
