$50,000 - $55,000 About the Opportunity Our client is looking for a Junior Accountant to join their accounting team in Danbury, CT. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants to gain hands-on experience across a variety of accounting functions while working alongside an experienced finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Assist with day-to-day accounting activities and general ledger maintenance Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations Support month-end and year-end close processes Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Research and resolve discrepancies as needed Assist with financial reporting and maintaining accurate accounting records Prepare supporting documentation for audits and reporting Assist with special projects and process improvements Ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 1+ year of accounting experience; internship experience will be considered Understanding of general accounting principles Experience with journal entries and account reconciliations Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Eager to learn and grow within an accounting environment EB-2808202072
