Rizzo@roberthalf.c0mWe are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations in West Haven, Connecticut. This position is well suited for an early-career accounting candidate who can maintain accurate financial records, assist with month-end activities, and contribute to a dependable close process. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working across core accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and record journal entries to ensure financial activity is captured accurately and on time.
  • Complete bank reconciliations and investigate variances to keep cash records aligned with account activity.
  • Perform account and ledger reconciliations to verify balances and support month-end reporting.
  • Review and process employee expense submissions in accordance with company policies and documentation requirements.
  • Support accounts payable activities, including invoice handling, coding, and payment preparation.
  • Assist with closing activities by organizing supporting schedules and ensuring deadlines are met.
