Description We are seeking a Project Accountant to manage the financial and accounting activities associated with assigned projects. This individual will partner closely with project managers and operations to ensure accurate billing, cost tracking, reporting, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities

+ Manage project accounting from setup through closeout

+ Prepare and process project billings, including AIA/progress billing as applicable

+ Track project costs, budgets, commitments, and contract values

+ Review job cost reports and identify budget-to-actual variances

+ Maintain WIP schedules and support percentage-of-completion accounting

+ Process and track change orders

+ Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections

+ Perform account reconciliations and prepare journal entries

+ Work closely with Project Managers to review project financial performance

+ Assist with month-end close and financial reporting

+ Maintain accurate project documentation and accounting records

+ Support audits and other accounting projects as needed Requirements Qualifications + 3+ years of accounting experience; project or job-cost accounting experience preferred

+ Experience with project billing, job costing, WIP, and month-end close

+ Strong Excel skills

+ Experience with construction, engineering, architecture, real estate development, or another project-based environment preferred

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
