Job Description

Pellegrino McFarland & Tortora, PA, CPAs is seeking a Senior Accountant/Auditor to join our team.
Experience/Education Required :
Three years of experience at a certified public accounting firm Three years of experience preparing financial statements Bachelor's Degree in
Accounting Key Responsibilities :
Conduct and Manage audit and accounting engagements: Lead and execute audit, review, and compilation engagements, ensuring successful completion and adherence to professional and firm standards.
Perform financial analysis:
Analyze financial records, identify risks, and suggest improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
Ensure compliance:
Verify that clients' financial records comply with GAAP, tax laws, and other relevant regulations.
Project management:
Develop audit programs, plan project tasks, establish work schedules, and ensure all deliverables are completed on time.
Accounting & Advisory Services:
Provide ongoing accounting support to clients, including monthly close, reconciliations, and management reporting.
Client relationship management:
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, address their requests, and proactively communicate project status.
Mentorship and leadership:
Supervise and direct junior staff, providing guidance and training on tasks and assignments.
Reporting and documentation:
Prepare financial statements, footnote disclosures, and management letter comments. Obtain and review evidence to ensure all audit conclusions are well-documented.
Stay current:
Keep up-to-date on changes in accounting and auditing standards, industry trends, and new software or analytical tools.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
