Senior Accountant Bottomline Construction Services Savannah, GA Job Details Full-time $65,000 - $80,000 a year 6 hours ago Qualifications Accounting systems Bachelor's degree GAAP QuickBooks Full Job Description Position Summary The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate, timely financial records across our five legal entities within QuickBooks. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role owns core month-end close functions — including balance sheet reconciliations, payroll accounting, intercompany transactions, and fixed asset accounting — and serves as a hands-on contributor in a fast-paced construction accounting environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations across multiple legal entities Record and reconcile intercompany transactions between the company's five affiliated entities Perform payroll accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and payroll-related reconciliations Code and reconcile company credit card transactions Maintain the fixed asset schedule, including additions, disposals, and depreciation Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in QuickBooks Assist with account analysis, journal entries, and accrual accounting Support annual audits, tax preparation, and other external reporting requests Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls Partner with the VP of Finance on ad hoc financial analysis and reporting Required Qualifications 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience Approximately 2 years of public accounting experience Approximately 1 year of private industry experience working within a general ledger system Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Proficiency with QuickBooks (multi-entity experience a plus) Strong Excel skills and solid understanding of GAAP fundamentals High attention to detail and strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple entities and deadlines Preferred Qualifications CPA license or active CPA candidacy (not required, but a plus) Experience in the construction industry or a project/job-cost accounting environment Experience working within a multi-entity or multi-company organizational structure 8am-4pm
