Job Summary We an internationally based manufacturing firm seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards, and supporting financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, experience with various financial software systems, and a commitment to maintaining accurate and confidential financial records. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization dedicated to operational excellence and financial integrity. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze journal entries, ensuring accuracy in the general ledger and adherence to accounting standards such as GAAP. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses to verify data integrity. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including financial statement preparation.. Perform data analysis using Excel spreadsheets for financial reporting and audit support. Handle confidential information with discretion while providing excellent customer service to internal teams. Collaborate with external auditors during audits by preparing schedules and documentation. Participate in process improvements related to accounting systems and workflows. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Minimum of three years of accounting experience within public accounting or corporate finance environments. Strong understanding of GAAP principles and governmental accounting standards where applicable. Experience with SOX compliance procedures is highly desirable. Knowledge of payroll management systems like ADP or UltiPro is advantageous. Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail in data entry and account reconciliation tasks. Ability to analyze complex financial data using Excel data analysis tools. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently. Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and external stakeholders.
