This role supports the month-end close process, assists with filings, ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP, and collaborates cross-functionally to maintain high-quality financial information. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Statements & Reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with
U.S. GAAP.
Support preparation of filings and reporting. Ensure reporting accuracy and consistency through strong internal documentation and workpaper support. Technical Accounting & Compliance Assist with researching accounting guidance and drafting technical memos. Support compliance activities, including documentation and testing of key controls. Participate in annual audit and quarterly review processes; respond to auditor requests. Active participation in treasury and cash management. Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and enhance financial controls. Contribute to system improvements or reporting automation initiatives. Collaborate with operational accounting teams to resolve discrepancies. Support preparation of board and audit committee materials related to financial reporting and internal controls reporting Implement reporting automation and ERP improvements Promote company culture by sharing knowledge and contributing to the skill growth of team members QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting or public company experience preferred). Strong understanding of
U.S. GAAP.
Proficiency with Excel and financial systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred CPA or CPA-eligible. Experience with financial reporting, Microsoft Dynamics, Workiva, or similar ERP systems. Prior mining or public company experience. Key Competencies High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn. Team-oriented with a proactive, hands-on approach. Working Conditions Located in Coeur d'Alene, with flexibility to be on site, Kellogg, ID, of quarterly equivalent of one week per month (e.g., one week per month or one month per quarter or two weeks for 2 months) Periodic overtime required during quarter-end and year-end close.
