We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join in Arlington Heights, Illinois for a fully onsite Contract assignment. This role will support core accounting operations with a strong focus on month-end close, financial reporting, and multi-entity accounting activities. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on approach, strong spreadsheet capabilities, and the ability to work accurately across general ledger, reconciliations, and cross-border transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the full month-end close cycle, ensuring entries, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger across daily accounting activity.
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including banking activity, payment platforms, and marketplace-related receipts.
• Maintain accounting records for multiple business entities, coordinating transactions between domestic and international operations.
• Support accounting for foreign currency activity and intercompany balances across global business units.
• Produce financial statements and related reporting schedules to provide clear visibility into business performance.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transaction recording.
• Use accounting software comparable to QuickBooks, along with advanced Excel tools, to analyze data and improve reporting accuracy.
