Builtech is currently seeking a Project Accountant ready to join our fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
Own the monthly billing cycle for assigned projects, including billing packages, approvals, supporting documentation, and submission readiness. Review subcontractor pay applications, lien waivers, sworn statements, and backup documentation for accuracy, completeness, and payment readiness. Resolve billing discrepancies, missing documentation, approval delays, waiver exceptions, and pending change order issues. Maintain project accounting records, including contracts, change orders, schedules of values, billing records, lien waivers, and project files. Serve as the accounting contact for assigned projects, coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, owners, title companies, and accounting staff. Maintain accurate project financial information in Sage 300, Procore, and company systems; support reporting, job cost review, closeout, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
3-7 years of project accounting, construction accounting, billing, or related experience preferred. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Experience with construction billing, pay applications, lien waivers, contracts, change orders, schedules of values, and job cost accounting preferred. Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, follow-up, and deadline management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office; Sage 300 and Procore experience preferred. Ability to remain in a stationary position 95% of the time. The ability to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as computer keyboards, copy machines, and computer printers. The ability to occasionally lift and carry lightweight office items like supplies or equipment. Valid driver's license.

$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
