Robert Half is hiring Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable professionals with 2-5 years of experience to join our Consulting practice in Downtown Chicago. This role offers hands-on exposure to client-facing project work, supporting high-volume accounting operations, cash flow processes, vendor and customer relationships, and financial operations across a variety of manufacturing, consumer products, and other industry environments. You'll work in dynamic business environments, strengthen your accounting foundation, and gain experience across multiple finance functions while helping client organizations improve the accuracy and efficiency of their accounting operations. Key Responsibilities Process high-volume Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable transactions Reconcile vendor statements, customer accounts, and balance sheet accounts Manage invoice processing, payment applications, collections, and cash posting activities Research and resolve discrepancies while maintaining accurate financial records Partner with client teams to improve accounting processes, workflows, and internal controls Support month-end close activities, reporting, and account reconciliations Work across multiple ERP systems and business environments depending on project scope Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounting, or related finance roles Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience working in high-volume transactional accounting environments ERP experience such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, JD Edwards, or similar systems preferred Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in client-facing environments What This Role Offers Exposure to diverse industries including manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, and other business environments Project-based work that builds technical skills and real-world accounting experience Competitive compensation, benefits, and long-term career growth withinRobert Half Benefits:
