We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records.
- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
- Monitor expenses and assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Assist with payroll and other accounting-related activities as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards
- Support audits, tax preparation, and other financial reviews.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly
Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
- 2-5 years of accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop & Online
- Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with union reporting and certified payroll preferred.
