Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our dynamic finance team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various accounting functions, including financial reporting, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and be eager to learn about corporate finance, non-profit accounting, and governmental accounting practices. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of individual and corporate tax returns. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations. Contribute to the preparation of regulatory reports and financial analysis. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, or Xero for bookkeeping tasks. Assist with payroll processing and tax-related tasks as needed. Collaborate with team members on various projects, providing support in financial report writing and interpretation. Experience Candidates should have a foundational understanding of accounting concepts, including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and financial management. Familiarity with financial software such as Microsoft Excel is essential. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
