Job Description:
Senior Accountant- Real Estate Development In this role, you will collaborate alongside controllership, development, and finance teams, engaging in projects, reporting, financial analysis, and forecasting. Your responsibilities will encompass, but won't be limited to: Partnering with property and development accounting teams, progressively taking on projects alongside Finance Leaders in FP&A and Development. Executing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closure processes, including managing journal entries, reconciliations, and assembling audit-level documentation for all transactions. Preparing financial statements, conducting variance analysis, managing various roll forwards, and conducting initial reviews to ensure accurate reflection of each fund's accounts. Reviewing and/or preparing monthly work papers and reports for assigned projects. Aiding commercial accounting in consolidation efforts and formulating profitability analyses for designated projects. Assessing financial and operational activities, offering recommendations for enhancing efficiency and internal control, and contributing to the annual audit process. Engaging in various business process and technology integration endeavors. Collaborating with business teams and senior management to craft operational reporting metrics. Providing support to Finance Managers as required for ad-hoc client reporting or analytical inquiries.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory. Possess 3-6 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Investment, or a related field. Prior experience in public accounting is advantageous not necessary Display strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the capability to produce succinct, top-quality reports. Familiarity with accounting and financial systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level is a beneficial attribute.
