Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant / Financial Controller to lead our financial operations and oversee all day-to-day accounting functions for Torque Parts. In this full-time, managerial role, you will report directly to the General Manager, overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, payroll, cash handling, and financial analysis. Your expertise will drive accurate financial analysis, streamline processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and empower our team with robust financial management. Additionally, this role will help maintain efficient office workflows by supporting daily office operations. Responsibilities Maintain full-cycle accounting ownership and record day-to-day financial transactions. Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, alongside daily or weekly financial reporting. Perform accurate bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and variance analysis. Prepare budget vs. actual reports, identify key drivers of deviations, and support financial planning. Oversee inventory management and conduct cost and margin analysis by product line, customer, or location. Provide data-driven insights and dashboards to support management decision-making. Manage daily office operations, including supervising team members responsible for front desk duties across locations. Assist in cash flow monitoring, expense tracking, and year-end audit preparation. Provide necessary reporting to senior leadership.
Qualifications Experience:
5 years of experience in Accounting and QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) is strictly required.
Education:
CPA, CMA, or a degree in accounting is preferred but not required.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in both QuickBooks(Desktop and Online) and Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel.
Accounting Knowledge:
Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts, including double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, and debits/credits.
Leadership:
Supervising experience with the ability to effectively lead and motivate team members.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to take initiative, work proactively, and build productive professional relationships.
Adaptability:
Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a dynamic small company environment.
Organization:
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail in scheduling, filing, record-keeping, and complex financial data.
