Job Description
- Maintains fiscal records using professional accounting principles and methods
- Maintains and reconciles funds allocated and disbursed
- Performs grant accounting functions, including billing, reconciliation, reporting, and grant closeouts
- Reconciles cash balances for grants
- Maintains fiscal records and documentation for auditors
- Verifies accuracy of system-generated reports
- Maintains key general ledger metrics for grant activity
- Establishes and maintains cost accounting systems
- Conducts high-level analytical work
- Provides fiscal support to management at all levels
- Assists in preparation of the annual budget
- Assists with ad hoc accounting reports
- Supports the month-end close process
- Aids in preparation of various federal and state funding reports
- Prepares reconciliations and schedules for the annual audit
- Participates in emergency response activities as assigned Completion of a bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance; or an Equivalent combinations of training and experience may be considered for preferred qualifications.
- A four-year degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- A strong aptitude for Excel and comfort working with data
