Plant Financial Analyst (Costing / Manufacturing)

Location:

Auburn, Indiana area- (with occasional travel to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa) We are seeking a Plant Financial Analyst, (Costing/Manufacturing), to join the team of a respected global manufacturing organization in the Auburn, Indiana area. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical finance professional who enjoys working closely with plant operations, engineering, and leadership teams to drive cost visibility, improve forecasting accuracy, and support business performance. This role offers hands-on exposure to manufacturing finance, product costing, budgeting, and operational analysis while partnering directly with decision-makers across multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Support pricing initiatives by providing accurate product cost information Prepare quarterly product cost updates based on current material pricing Perform product costing activities and maintain standard costs Analyze cost variances related to materials, labor, freight, scrap, and manufacturing performance Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries as needed Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting activities for plant operations Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to identify and track cost savings opportunities Prepare cost center reporting and analyze actual vs. budget vs. forecast results Generate ad hoc financial reporting and analysis for plant and corporate leadership Travel periodically between Auburn, IN and Mt. Pleasant, IA facilities

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, costing, or controlling Experience with product costing in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles ERP experience required; SAP strongly preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills Strong analytical ability with excellent attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally Ability to travel approximately 10% between facilities •Apply today for immediate consideration.
