Job Description

The Senior Accountant will contribute to the accounting team's core functions, which may include fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, financial report analysis, account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and other related duties, with specific focus areas assigned based on team needs and specialization. The compensation for this position will be commensurate with education or work experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
Reviews and analyzes financial reports monthly, providing insights on variances and trends. Owns key components of the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and pre-close reviews, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Prepares accurate and timely account reconciliations during the month-end closing process. Performs data analysis as requested; develop and present ad hoc reports in support of various business processes. What You'll Need for
Success:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted. CPA or CPA eligibility is strongly preferred. 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in public and / or corporate accounting. Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Excel. Familiar with ERP systems. Ability to adapt to and learn new software. Proficient communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are vital to the role. Strong foundation in accounting principles, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make the necessary decisions to move forward with the work at hand.
