  • 58,903 About the Role As a Staff Accountant at Pathfinder, you'll play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the financial health of our organization.
Working closely with the Controller and Chief Financial and Operating Officer, you'll help ensure accurate reporting, timely reconciliations, and efficient accounting processes that support Pathfinder's mission and the communities we serve. As a Staff Accountant at
Pathfinder, You Will:
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close Participate in the month-end close process, including preparing and posting general ledger journal entries. Review and monitor balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting. Complete balance sheet reconciliations and prepare adjusting journal entries as needed. Complete month-end bank reconciliations and associated journal entries. Investigate discrepancies and identify concerns that could affect the accuracy of financial information. Accounting Records & Asset Management Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Maintain fixed asset documentation and prepare depreciation entries. Manage and track capitalized assets. Create and post entries related to investment account activity. Review and update program allocations according to established schedules. Inventory & Program Financial Support Complete year-end inventory counts and reviews. Prepare and review manufacturing reports, including cost of goods sold and sales reports for Pathfinder's Outsource Manufacturing program. Help ensure financial information is accurate, organized, and available for review. Audit & Compliance Support Assist with preparing documentation for the year-end financial audit. Support other internal and external audits as needed. Maintain accurate records and documentation to support financial accountability and compliance. Team Collaboration & Cross-Training Assist other Accounting Team members to help ensure accurate and timely entries throughout the department. Provide backup support for daily bank reconciliations, deposit postings, check runs, and positive pay entry approvals. Provide backup support to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Medicaid Billing, and Payroll as needed. Report potential trouble areas, discrepancies, and financial concerns to the Controller and/or CFOO.   • Empowerment Requirements Preferred Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; will consider associate degree with relevant experience.
A minimum of three years' experience in accounting preferred. Experience with accounting on computer systems. Ability to develop and deliver accurate data for review or presentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and accounting software. Excellent written and verbal communication. Valid driver's license and current auto insurance required. Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language
