Downtown Indianapolis, IN Salary:
$78,000–$85,000
Schedule:
Fully in-office for the first 6 months; after 6 months, strong performers may work from home 1 day/week. About the Opportunity A growing Indianapolis-based real estate organization is hiring two Property Accountants to join their accounting team. This is a great opportunity for an accountant looking to build a career in property accounting with tons of room for growth and advancement. One of the two positions requires prior property management/accounting experience, while the other is open to candidates coming from a broader accounting background. What You'll Do Prepare and analyze financial statements for a portfolio of assigned properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards Reconcile bank accounts, general ledgers, and balance sheets Assist with budgeting, variance analysis, and financial forecasting Prepare journal entries, accruals, and other accounting adjustments Develop relationships with clients and serve as a professional point of contact You will gradually build your property portfolio and will not be responsible for 15 properties immediately. What We're Looking For 2–3+ years of accounting experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Property management/accounting experience Strong attention to detail and accuracy Professional communication and client/customer-facing skills Ability to manage relationships with multiple clients and entities Preferred Experience Entrata or RealPage experience Audit experience or exposure to the audit process Public accounting or client-facing accounting experience Experience working with multiple entities, branches, or locations Why This Opportunity? $78K–$85K salary Strong opportunity for career growth and advancement Exposure to a diverse portfolio of properties and entities Great fit for someone coming from audit or a client-facing accounting environment Opportunity to transition into property accounting and expand your skill set Hybrid flexibility available after 6 months based on performance #
