About the Opportunity A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Finance team. This position plays a key role in supporting financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing cost accounting and inventory processes, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. The role will collaborate closely with plant leadership and provide leadership to an Accounting Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to grow within a dynamic organization that offers long-term career development. Key Responsibilities Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Manage fixed asset accounting and reporting Support day-to-day inventory accounting activities and inventory analysis Handle intercompany accounting transactions Perform manufacturing cost accounting and cost analysis Oversee accounting controls related to accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Supervise and support an Accounting Clerk Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen financial controls Partner with plant leadership to support operational and financial objectives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2-4 years of accounting experience ERP system experience required Manufacturing accounting experience preferred Cost accounting and inventory accounting experience preferred Desired Skills Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Continuous improvement mindset
