Job Description
SUMMARY The financial analyst supports the Accounting Manager in executing core financial processes across reporting and budgeting/forecasting. This role prepares analyses and maintains accurate financial records for multiple manufacturing sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Month-end Closing- Lead variance analysis (actual v budget v prior year)
- Support monthly & annual closing as assigned 2. External & Internal Reporting
- Complete monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages to parent company while looking for opportunities to automate / improve process. Accuracy is critical
- Maintain reporting templates, schedules, and documentation to support timely and accurate close cycles.
- Support the Accounting Manager in preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements and internal reports.
- Support in the creation of a monthly reporting package for internal stakeholders 3. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in gathering operational, cost, and sales data needed for annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Prepare preliminary budget schedules, templates, and cost/margin analyses.
- Update forecast models with current-period actuals and operational inputs.
- Perform basic scenario analysis and identify variances from plan.
- Partner with operations and cost planning teams to validate data inputs and assumptions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with planning analytics systems and advanced Excel skills required
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree Finance, Accounting, or 9+ years of commensurate experience
- 2-4 years of financial reporting / analytics experience required; experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
