Cost Accountant –
South Bend, Indiana Salary:
$65,000–$85,000 annually

Key Responsibilities Analyze and maintain standard costs, variances, and inventory valuations Prepare and analyze cost reports related to labor, materials, and overhead Support month-end close with inventory and cost-related journal entries Partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis Ensure accurate BOMs, routings, and cost structures within the ERP system Support internal and external audits related to inventory and costing Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3–6 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, Oracle, or similar) Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities Detail-oriented with the ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial teams
