Full‑Time, Exempt Position Summary The Staff Accountant supports the CFO by executing daily and monthly accounting functions for USAC Racing, USAC Promotions, and vehicle licensing/IFTA compliance. This role handles transactional accounting, reconciliations, event‑based revenue/expense processing, and compliance preparation. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑moving motorsports environment. Key Responsibilities Daily & Weekly Accounting Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Enter vendor invoices and event‑related expenses Prepare and post journal entries Maintain accurate general ledger coding Process deposits and cash receipts Manage accounting inboxes and documentation flow Event Accounting (USAC Racing + USAC Promotions) Process event expenses, payouts, and settlements Track ticketing revenue, sanction fees, and membership/licensing revenue Maintain event files and documentation Support CFO with event P&L preparation Month-End Close Complete bank and credit card reconciliations Prepare accruals, prepaids, and depreciation schedules Maintain balance sheet reconciliations Prepare draft financials for CFO review Vehicle Licensing & IFTA Collect mileage and fuel data Maintain vehicle licensing documentation Prepare draft IFTA filings for CFO review Track renewal deadlines and compliance calendars Documentation & Controls Maintain organized digital files by entity/event Ensure audit‑ready documentation for all transactions Follow internal controls and approval workflows Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 1-3 years accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP Proficiency with accounting software Strong Excel skills Ability to manage competing deadlines High attention to detail and accuracy Preferred Experience Experience with multi‑entity accounting Familiarity with IFTA or vehicle compliance Behavioral Traits Organized and methodical Strong communicator Comfortable asking questions and escalating issues Thrives in a fast‑moving, operational environment Values accuracy and accountabilityPay:
