About this Role QISG is currently looking for Tax Accountant with multistate indirect tax experience. The right candidate will work as a member of our rapidly growing construction group and will be in one of our two locations: Overland Park, Kansas or Houston, Texas. What You'll Do Prepares multistate and local sales use and gross receipts tax return Ensures timely tax filings by managing a tax compliance calendar Supports the tax reconciliation process Prepares tax accruals as needed Reconciles accounting software with tax software Reviews resale certificates for exempt customer sales and file support Assists with annual 1099 reporting requirements Prepares annual reporting for corporate deliverables Acts to resolve issues which helps the team to work effectively in the daily A/R and A/P transactions Coordinates property tax compliance Assists in month-end close as requested Works with operations to include indirect tax estimates in job pursuits and research tax requirements as needed Communicates with taxing jurisdictions and resolves inquiry requests and provide audit support Embraces change and help to establish process improvements Performs miscellaneous job-related duties and projects as assigned Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures Performs special projects and completes other duties as assigned or requested What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience 3+ years of multistate indirect tax experience Construction Experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proven time management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Demonstrates teamwork, strong work ethic and a positive attitude What You'll Get Competitive Compensation 401(k) Retirement Plan Holiday Pay Paid Time Off (PTO) Comprehensive Health Coverage Pet Insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Professional Development Tuition Assistance Employee Discount Program Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
