Role:
Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC (QISG), a Quanta Services, Inc. company (

PWR) is looking for a Tax Accountant with multistate indirect tax experience. The right candidate will work as a member of our rapidly growing accounting group and will work out of the Overland Park, Kansas office.
What You'll Do:
Prepare and file sales & use tax returns across multiple states and multiple entities Ensure timely tax filings by managing a tax compliance calendar Support the tax reconciliation process Prepare tax accruals as needed Reconcile accounting software with tax software Review and maintain exemption certificates for exempt customer sales and file support Assist in month-end close as requested Communicate with taxing jurisdictions and resolve inquiry requests and provide audit support Embrace change and help establish process improvements Work with operations to include indirect tax estimates in job pursuits and research tax requirements as needed Perform special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested Assist with property tax compliance Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures
What You'll Bring:
Required Experience and Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or closely related field, or combination of education and relevant experience 3+ years of multistate sales tax compliance experience Preferred Experience and Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting Strong understanding of sales & use tax laws, especially as they apply to construction and real property Experience with Vertex O Series Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proven time management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Demonstrate teamwork, strong work ethic and a positive attitude
