Kerbaugh, Rodes & Butler, PLLC is a full-service public accounting firm serving individuals and businesses with comprehensive tax and accounting needs in Danville, Kentucky and surrounding areas. We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and hardworking individual to join our team. Responsibilities for this position will include: Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations Conduct tax research and provide guidance on tax planning and risk minimization Identify tax-saving opportunities and develop proactive tax strategies for clients Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, deadlines, and inquiries Assist with IRS and state notices and correspondence Stay current on changes in tax law and accounting standards Collaborate with internal accounting and advisory teams to support client needs Maintain accurate documentation and workpapers in accordance with firm standards Perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial records This Candidate must meet the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-7+ years of tax accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm Strong knowledge of U.S. tax codes and regulations Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Axcess Tax, ProSystem fx, or similar) Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA designation (or CPA-eligible) strongly preferred Experience with multi-state filings and complex tax issues Client advisory or supervisory experience
