Team members work closely with customers on technically demanding projects, contributing to products and systems that require exceptional precision and reliability. Role Description The Staff Accountant is a full?time, on?site position based in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role plays a key part in supporting financial reporting, cost analysis, and operational efficiency within a manufacturing environment. Roles & Responsibilities Assist with the month-end close and preparation of the monthly financial statements. Assist with interim and year-end audit. Assist with A/R and A/P and serve as a backup as needed. Analyze financial data and margins by product, identify discrepancies, and provide insight to Management. Assist in setting standard costs of manufactured goods and review bill of materials with Operations team. Analyze standard costs and review cost variances and inventory adjustments. Perform account reconciliations. Recommend opportunities for cost reduction and profit maximization. Review and recommend changes to processes and procedures needed for data accumulation and reporting. Advise management on appropriate costing based on financial data. Assist with the coordination of the physical inventories. Help implement and monitor cycle counts. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Internship or previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
