Staff Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description Staff Accountant Southfield, MI | Contract-to-Hire | Fully On-Site $30-36/hour LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a client of ours located in Southfield, MI that is seeking a Staff Accountant on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is fully on-site and offers a competitive pay rate between $30-36/hour , based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance Support month-end and year-end close activities Prepare and review financial reports and schedules Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed Support audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting processes and accuracy

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 2+ years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting/ERP systems preferred Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment
