Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Experienced Staff Tax Accountant located in Metairie, LA. The role involves tax preparation, compliance, and planning for individuals and businesses. The Accountant will analyze financial statements, ensure accurate reporting, and handle various accounting tasks. Additionally, they will be responsible for meeting deadlines, maintaining relevant regulatory knowledge, and proactively identifying opportunities for tax optimization. This is your chance to work on complex tax engagements with a smaller firm. Qualifications Proficiency in Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and knowledge of Tax regulations Experience with preparing and analyzing Financial Statements Strong understanding of Accounting principles and practices Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required CPA certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools is a plus
