We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support the monthly close and the day-to-day accounting operations of a fast-growing manufacturing company. You will own journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and account reconciliations, and prepare the schedules that support our audit. The ideal candidate is early in an accounting career, detail-obsessed, and looking for a role with real ownership and a clear path to grow as the finance team builds out.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly close. Calculate and record accruals, and maintain the supporting documentation. Maintain prepaid expense schedules and record monthly amortization. Maintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation. Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and research reconciling items. Prepare audit schedules and gather documentation in support of the annual audit. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable operations as needed. Follow and help document accounting procedures; flag issues and process gaps. Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from the accounting team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-3 years of accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus. Working knowledge of GAAP and the month-end close process. Experience with an ERP system; NetSuite experience is a plus. Strong Excel skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable asking questions. Eager to learn and take on more ownership in a fast-moving environment. What We Offer This pay range reflects best estimate for the total cash compensation which includes salary + discretionary bonus for this role. Total package may vary based on experience and qualifications.
Pay Range:
$95,000 - $140,000 total cash compensation plus equity
