We are seeking a Senior Accountant to execute the monthly close and own the more complex areas of our general ledger. You will prepare and review complex journal entries, own significant balance sheet reconciliations, and contribute directly to accurate, timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate is a technically strong accountant who works independently, brings order to areas that are still being built, and is ready to grow into broader ownership as the team scales.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post complex journal entries, including accruals, allocations, and technical accounting entries. Own reconciliation of significant balance sheet accounts; research and resolve variances. Execute assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close on schedule. Prepare financial statement schedules and supporting analysis with clear commentary on drivers. Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor requests. Support tax filings and other external reporting requirements. Identify and implement improvements to close procedures and reconciliation processes. Partner with operations, procurement, and payroll to ensure transactions are recorded accurately. Mentor staff accountants and review their work as the team grows.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CPA-track preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a start-up or high-growth environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices. Proficiency with NetSuite ERP or a comparable system; advanced Excel skills. Demonstrated experience owning complex reconciliations and close deliverables independently. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the desire to build efficient systems from the ground up. What We Offer This pay range reflects best estimate for the total cash compensation which includes salary + discretionary bonus for this role. Total package may vary based on experience and qualifications.Pay Range:
$130,000 - $175,000 total cash compensation plus equityHealthcare:
