Come meet your new clients and colleagues at Johnson O'Connor (JO). Johnson O'Connor is a regional Public Accounting Firm located outside of Boston in Wakefield, MA. We are seeking a Senior Accounting Associate in the Client Accounting Services department with 3-5 years of accounting experience who is interested in participating in their own career growth and working with a diverse client base to join our team. Daily responsibilities include client billing and revenue recognition, vendor and payables management, bank and account reconciliations, payroll posting and support, and assistance with complex transactions. In addition, this individual will be in charge of the monthly close, reporting and analysis for assigned clients. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and analytical skills, as well as back-office support. Whereas national firms tend to be compartmentalized, our firm offers the successful candidate the ability to service all aspects of our clients' business and back-office accounting needs, and see client engagements from start to finish, thus becoming a valued advisor to clients.

Client billing and revenue recognition Vendor and payables management Bank and account reconciliations Payroll posting and support Assist with complex transactions Monthly closes Various reporting and analysis for assigned clients Ensure the Firm's high standards of quality are met or exceeded The job‐essential requirements are: Degree in Business / Accounting and 3-5 years of similar experience preferred Proficient in Netsuite Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Commitment to exceptional client service Intellectually curious Flexible, self‐starter personality whose personal values coincide with JO's Core values (Respect, Integrity, Teamwork & Excellence) We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
