Job Description

Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support corporate accounting operations. This role oversees full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of entities, delivers financial analysis and modeling, and helps strengthen accounting processes across the organization. The position also serves as a resource to staff accountants and partners with various other departments. Someone who is a strong team player and leader that excels in fast paced environments will be a great candidate for this opportunity.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily accounting activities for assigned corporate entities and development-related portfolios, ensuring accurate general ledger records and timely processing.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, monthly workpapers, intercompany activity, payable commitments, wire requests, and draw documentation.
  • Drive month-end close tasks by completing assigned deliverables on schedule and resolving discrepancies affecting financial reporting.
  • Analyze balance sheet accounts, with particular attention to bank reconciliations, and investigate unusual transactions to achieve timely resolution.
  • Produce weekly cash needs reports, evaluate payment priorities, and recommend accounts payable disbursements based on operational requirements.
  • Review corporate credit card activity and confirm transactions are properly reconciled and recorded.
  • Support investor funding and distribution activities, including calculation support, contribution tracking, transfer coordination, and reconciliation of related balances.
  • Assist with year-end audit preparation by compiling schedules, preparing financial statements, and organizing supporting documentation for external review.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, tax projection work, payroll and benefits accounting, and treasury-related support as needed.
  • Demonstrated experience with month-end close activities in a corporate accounting environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statement support.
  • Proven ability to prepare and review journal entries with a high level of accuracy.
  • Hands-on experience performing account reconciliations and resolving variances.
  • Solid background in bank reconciliation processes and cash-related analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
