Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Payroll-Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll processing, ensuring compliance with labor and tax laws, and supporting various accounting functions related to payroll activities. Your expertise will help us maintain accurate financial records, streamline payroll operations, and uphold the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities Process payroll accurately and efficiently using payroll system Foundation Software. Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies related to payroll and accounting practices Reconcile payroll accounts through detailed analysis of general ledger entries, journal entries, debits & credits, and account reconciliation procedures Maintain employee records related to benefits administration, time & attendance systems, and HRIS platforms Prepare and review payroll reports, tax filings, and audit documentation for accuracy and completeness Support accounts payable and receivable functions by processing invoices and tracking financial transactions within accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar tools Assist with governmental reporting requirements and ensure adherence to all relevant legal standards in payroll management Skills Proficiency with payroll systems including Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian; experience supporting payroll technical systems is highly desirable Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, tax law, payroll tax regulations, and financial concepts related to payroll processing Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or comparable financial tools; familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy in 10 key typing; ability to perform double entry bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation efficiently Solid understanding of human resources processes including benefits administration and time & attendance management systems Analytical skills for account reconciliation, journal entries, and financial analysis; ability to interpret complex data sets accurately Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices is advantageous for organizations in that sector Join us if you're passionate about ensuring precise payroll operations while supporting broader accounting functions! Pay:
$25.00 - $32.00 per hour
