Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Analyze Medicare and Medicaid support documents to assist with desk audit activities and identify items requiring further review.
- Evaluate medical records, payment details, financial data, and related backup materials for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Investigate variances, unusual patterns, and potential control or compliance issues, then escalate findings as appropriate.
- Prepare clear audit documentation and summarize conclusions in a thorough, consistent manner.
- Organize electronic workpapers and maintain well-structured audit files that support review and reporting needs.
- Apply established audit methodologies and adhere to applicable government guidelines throughout each engagement.
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to resolve questions, share updates, and support engagement progress.
- Manage assigned tasks against project timelines while maintaining strong attention to detail and consistent quality standards.
