full-time Position Summary This role will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and assisting with audits and regulatory reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a fast-paced financial services environment. Key Responsibilities Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders. Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist with investment, fund, and portfolio accounting activities, including tracking transactions, valuations, and reporting. Support the annual audit process and serve as a primary liaison with external auditors. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and applicable financial regulations. Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for regulatory filings and examinations. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency. Mentor and review the work of junior accounting staff. Participate in system implementations, process improvements, and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP/accounting systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Preferred CPA designation or CPA candidate. Public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm preferred). Experience within financial services, investment management, banking, insurance, private equity, hedge funds, or wealth management. Familiarity with investment accounting and regulatory reporting requirements.
