If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are working with companies in Byron Center that are adding Cost Accountants to their teams. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain standard product costs. Analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead) and provide insights. Prepare detailed cost reports and profitability analysis for management. Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes related to cost of goods sold. Participate in inventory valuation and reconciliation activities. Identify cost reduction opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in make-or-buy analysis and capital expenditure justifications. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
