Job Description

CONSTRUCTION COST ACCOUNTANT A
well-established construction organization is seeking an experienced Construction Cost Accountant to provide financial oversight for multiple active construction projects. This is a
HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL SEARCH.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage project financials from job setup through closeout Partner with Project Managers on job costs, forecasting and revenue recognition Review and process subcontractor and project invoices Prepare and analyze monthly job cost reports, variances and financial risks Manage progress billings and monitor over/under billings Prepare required billing documentation and manage lien waiver compliance Support subcontracts, change orders and contract modifications Monitor receivables, retention and subcontractor payments Maintain accurate financial reporting across multiple active projects Identify potential financial issues before they impact project performance Improve accounting processes, controls and reporting
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of construction cost accounting experience with a General Contractor or Subcontractor Experience managing financials for multiple construction projects simultaneously 2+ years working within a construction ERP such as Acumatica, Procore, Viewpoint or similar Strong knowledge of job costing, AIA billing, progress billing and change orders Experience with contract compliance and lien waivers Cost-Plus contract experience preferred Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently while partnering closely with project teams
