If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Paw Paw seeking experienced Staff Accountants. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing supporting schedules and analyses. Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and inventory valuations. Process accounts payable invoices and employee expense reports for payment. Support the annual external audit by providing requested documentation and explanations. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel Experience with inventory costing and analysis Bonus Qualifications Experience with ERP systems specific to manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex) Familiarity with cost accounting principles and inventory valuation in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for financial reporting and analysis Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their impact on financial operations CPA or CMA certification Job Titles That Should Apply Staff Accountant, Senior Staff Accountant, Junior Accountant, General Accountant, Financial Accountant, Cost Accountant, Accounting Specialist, Bookkeeper, Assistant Accountant, Accountant I Why The Pivot Group Network The Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
