Controller/Senior Accountant Bellepar Homes Custom Homebuilding & Remodeling Bellepar Custom Homes and Remodeling is a premier residential custom homebuilding & remodeling design build construction company focused on value, quality and custom service. Bellepar Homes office is in Lakeville, MN with jobs throughout the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area. We are looking for a financially savvy, detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations and help drive our continued growth.

Controller / Senior Accountant (Construction & Custom Home Building)
Location:
Lakeville, MN (In-office)
The Role:
As the Controller, you will be the backbone of our financial department. You won't just be "doing the books" as you will be a strategic partner to ownership, managing everything from high-level financial reporting to daily job costing and cash flow analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Oversee all accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, Payroll, General Ledger and financials.
Job Costing:
Provide detailed analysis of project costs and variances to ensure every project stays on budget and profitable.
Reporting:
Prepare monthly financial statements, WIP (Work in Progress) reports, quarterly & annual payroll reporting along with annual budgets.
Tax & Compliance:
Coordinate with external CPAs for tax filings and ensure compliance with local and state construction regulations.
Process Improvement:
Refine and implement internal controls to improve accuracy and efficiency across our financial workflows.
Qualifications:
Experience:
5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a Controller or Senior Accountant role (Construction or Real Estate experience is highly preferred ).
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; CPA or CMA is a plus.
Tech Savvy:
Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., BuilderTrend, CoConstruct, Sage, or QuickBooks Enterprise) and advanced Excel skills.
Mindset:
A "no task too small" attitude with the ability to see the big picture financial health of the company.

Always focused on "doing the right thing" o Strong troubleshooting /problem solving skills, ability to demonstrate solution-based thinking. o Versatile and flexible to perform the assignments assigned.
