Our successful Manufacturing Company located in Maple Grove is seeking a Staff Accountant for our team! The Staff Accountant will be responsible for various accounting activities with an emphasis on compiling and analyzing financial information & reporting. Additionally they will maintain accounting policies & practices to ensure accurate & reliable data necessary for business operations. This position could be either full-time or part-time. Some of the responsibilities include; Administer quarterly reoccurring bills - prepare invoices based on contract, monitor incoming cash payments, journalize revenue to proper periods for financial statement purposes. Assist with monthly accounting close process, including the preparation of monthly financial statements, management reporting and analysis. Assist with preparation of budgets and quarterly re-forecasts. Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions and perform monthly, quarterly and annual close functions. Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and depreciation schedules. Assist in preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns to ensure compliance. Support physical inventory reporting and cycle count analysis. Participate in annual audit with external CPA firm. Provide back-up to day-to-day accounting functions including billing, accounts receivable, collections and accounts payable. We are seeking applicants who possess the following qualifications: 3-5 years of similar experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. Must be self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills and attention to detail a must. Must be an excellent communicator, resourceful, and proactive.
