Rolla Municipal Utilities (RMU) | Rolla, Missouri Rolla Municipal Utilities is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated professional to join our Finance Department as an Accountant or Senior Accountant , depending on qualifications and experience. This position plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations of our municipal utility and offers the opportunity to work in a stable, team-oriented environment serving the Rolla community. Position Responsibilities The successful candidate will perform a variety of accounting functions, including: Payroll processing General ledger accounting Accounts payable and accounts receivable Financial reporting and data analysis Preparation and review of accounting records and financial statements Managerial reporting and data verification Assisting the Finance Manager with maintaining the financial integrity and continuity of RMU Providing information, support, and guidance to staff Maintaining confidentiality and compliance with RMU policies and procedures This is a full-time, year-round position working regular business hours in a professional office environment. Qualifications Accountant High school diploma or GED required Associate's degree or relevant accounting experience preferred Knowledge of accounting principles and practices Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills Senior Accountant Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field OR Minimum of five (5) years of progressive managerial accounting experience Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be a resident of the U.S.A. and legally authorized to perform work in the U.S.A. Must be able to read and write the English language. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test(s) and pre-employment physical(s) by RMU's physician.
