Job Description

We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization. This role will be responsible for analyzing production costs, maintaining accurate inventory and cost records, supporting month-end close activities, and providing financial insights to help drive operational efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cost accounting principles within a manufacturing environment and the ability to work closely with both accounting and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor manufacturing costs, variances, and production efficiencies, providing recommendations for improvement.

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Reconcile inventory accounts and assist with cycle counts and physical inventory processes.

Maintain accurate cost accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Maintain the fixed asset ledger, including asset additions, disposals, depreciation calculations, and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Prepare and record monthly accruals and other adjusting journal entries to support an accurate and timely month-end close process.
