Job Description
Overview Join our team! We're looking for an experienced Project Accountant to manage the financial side of commercial construction projects from kickoff to closeout. If you have experience with job costing, progress billing (AIA billing), WIP reporting, and construction accounting, we'd love to talk. Responsibilities Manage the financial lifecycle of assigned construction projects. Prepare and submit monthly owner billings, including progress billing and supporting documentation. Track project budgets, job costs, committed costs, and profitability. Assist project managers with cost reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Monitor and record change orders, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements. Review lien waivers, certificates of insurance, certified payroll, and GC specific compliance documentation. Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections on outstanding invoices. Reconcile project costs and assist with monthly financial close. Maintain organized electronic project files and accounting records. Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Qualifications 3+ years of project accounting experience, preferably in commercial construction. Experience with job costing, progress billing, retainage, and construction contracts. Strong understanding of construction accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Sage Intacct Construction ++ Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation, cost management, and account analysis. Pay:
