Senior Accountant

PeopleShare, Inc. is hiring a Senior or Staff Accountant for a well‑established CPA firm in Hamilton, NJ. This role offers strong work‑life balance, a collaborative culture, and excellent opportunities for professional growth.

Location:

Hamilton, NJ Schedule:

Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm

Hybrid:

3 days remote / 2 days in-office (reversed during tax season)

Compensation:

Staff:

$60K + $10K-$15K bonus

Senior:

$70K-$75K + bonus

Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual, fiduciary, corporate, partnership, estate, and gift tax returns.
• Review tax returns, workpapers, and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform general accounting tasks including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement prep.
• Participate in audit engagements and analytical procedures.
• Provide tax consulting, file quarterly estimates/extensions, and respond to IRS/state notices.
• Research moderately complex tax issues and communicate findings.
• Mentor junior staff and support process improvements.
• Manage a diverse client portfolio including businesses, nonprofits, and individuals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-5+ years of public accounting tax experience preferred; 4+ years overall for senior level.
• Strong knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping procedures and tax software.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and time‑management skills.
• Audit experience is a plus.
