Job Description

Responsibilities Manage the monthly cash-basis accounting cycle and review property financial statements for accuracy. Review cash receipts, disbursements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and coding. Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoice review, tenant balances, unapplied cash, credits, and account research. Review rent charges, lease terms, amendments, recoveries, taxes, insurance, utilities, and other tenant billings for accuracy. Prepare and review annual CAM, real estate tax, insurance, and other tenant recovery reconciliations. Assist with annual property budgets, forecasts, and budget-to-actual variance review. Support year-end close, tax preparation, 1099 reporting, property tax schedules, and external accountant requests. Work with Property Management, Leasing, and Finance to research and resolve property and tenant accounting issues. Maintain organized accounting records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Assist with property transitions, acquisitions, dispositions, and special projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred. 2-5 years of accounting experience; commercial real estate or retail property accounting experience preferred. Knowledge of cash-basis accounting, tenant billing, CAM reconciliations, and property budgeting. Strong Excel and analytical skills. Yardi, MRI, or similar real estate accounting system experience preferred. Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines.
