full-time A Leading Services Company located in Parsippany, NJ is searching for an Accountant who will have the following responsibilities: Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions in accordance with company policies, GAAP, and established accounting procedures. Prepare and post journal entries and assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities. Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and other balance sheet accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed. Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules. Perform P&L and account analysis to identify trends, variances, unusual activity, and opportunities for improvement. Maintain accurate and organized accounting records, workpapers, files, and supporting documentation. Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and other month-end accounting adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Partner with internal departments to resolve accounting questions, obtain supporting documentation, and ensure transactions are properly recorded. Provide supporting schedules and documentation and respond to inquiries during internal and external audits. Assist with special projects, process improvements, and other accounting-related responsibilities as needed. Qualified candidates for the Staff Accountant role should possess: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. 4+ years of experience Excellent Microsoft Excel skills required. The total compensation range for this opportunity is $70,000 to $75,000 plus bonus with excellent benefits.
